New York with the Twin Towers in the distance.... |
Walking across the Brooklyn Bridge that connects Brooklyn and Manhatten. |
It's small (the pointy one), but you can see the Empire State building in the distance. |
On top of Empire State Building, they put the bars there to prevent people falling. |
On top of Empire State Building. |
Outside the Ed Sullivan Theater where they film the Late Show With David Letterman. |
Outside Trump Tower. |
At Rockerfeller Plaza (might notice the statue from Saturday Night Live). |
Taken from the fairy that takes you out to the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island. |

From the island. |
Ellis Island is a island next to the Statue of Liberty, all imigrants used to be processed on the island before entering into New York City to start thier new American life. There are rings of stone walls like this with all the immigrants names who came to America carved on them (including my great grandfather's). |
This stone has the name of my great grandfather who traveled from Ireland to begin a new life in America. |
All these people are BEHIND us! People were like this all the way down the street to Central Park a couple miles away! |
Just when the ball drops! |
The ball has dropped and people are going wild! |
Just to the left of the guys video camera is the building that has the ball on top, that vertical light is the ball track and underneath reads "2000" (we were 3 blocks from Times Square). We arrived here at noon to get this close. |
Things start calming down. |
For a couple visits I stayed here untill Ming-Lun's parents sold the house. To the right is the beach, to the left and accross the street is Anthony's place. |
Walking on the beach outside his parent's Long Island home. |
Ming "tricked" me one summer in coming to New York to help in his parent shop while his parents left the shop to us... this is our victory dinner. |
